The United States has fast become the most affected country by the COVID-19 pandemic. Aside from the hundreds of thousands of COVID-19 cases, the pandemic has also led to mass unemployment and widespread strike action by workers. Rachel Simpson spoke with Paul Taillon about the increase in worker solidarity, despite pushback from corporates and the government, how grassroots strikes are organised, and whether a general strike may be imminent in the United States.

Paul Taillon is a Senior Lecturer in History at the University of Auckland. He is an expert in American history and specialises in the American labour movement.
